MK College named Hair and Beauty Apprenticeship Provider of the Year
2019 saw Milton Keynes College (MKC) recognised for the quality of its hair and beauty apprenticeships, which were voted the best in the country.
A thriving sector
The hair and beauty sector is an ever-expanding industry, with the UK market alone valued at over £30bn and employing nearly 1m people. The MKC Apprenticeship Provider of the Year Award highlights the college's position as a leading provider of training for this thriving sector.
Earn while you learn
Apprenticeships are an increasingly popular way of training for a new career, and offer the opportunity to gain on-the-job learning and formal qualifications, whilst also earning a salary. Apprenticeships can be taken up by people of any age, with no formal qualifications required. However, due to the hands-on nature of hair and beauty apprenticeships, many are taken up by school leavers with an interest in entering the hair and beauty sector.
Industry-standard training
MKC offers students access to some of the best training facilities available, as well as the chance to work with and learn from some of the best hairdressers in the world. The college's hair and beauty apprenticeships also train students in the latest techniques and trends, including hair extensions and microblading. Those successfully completing their hair and beauty apprenticeship will be trained to nvq level 2 standard in Hair Professional.
