Electric vehicles (EVs) are igniting a spark of enthusiasm among European consumers. In a recent survey, a significant number of car buyers expressed their interest in adopting electric vehicles, highlighting the growing appeal of electrified mobility.

However, a noticeable knowledge gap lingers. Despite the surge in interest, exposure to EVs among European car drivers remains relatively low. This gap presents a challenge for the widespread adoption of EVs, as firsthand experience plays a crucial role in shaping consumer perceptions and preferences.

The survey data, collected by the Platform for Electromobility, provides valuable insights into consumer knowledge and attitudes towards EVs. The findings suggest that European consumers generally possess a positive perception of EVs, recognizing their potential to contribute to sustainability and reduce environmental impact.
